One of the best parts of being in Peaslee is the friendships you form with fellow debaters. We regularly host socials, dinners, and outings that bring us together outside of round rooms. From Thai, Indian, and Mexican food runs to bubble tea and milkshake trips, Korean BBQ nights, karaoke, and escape rooms, there's always something going on.

Whether we're prepping cases or just hanging out, Peaslee is a space where people support each other. We're united by a shared love of argument, curiosity, and community — and that connection lasts long after the tournament ends.

Most weekends, you'll find us on the road, traveling to tournaments across the country to compete and learn. At least once a year, we also take our arguments global, bringing our voices to international stages.

We're proud of our competitive history. Peaslee was the first liberal arts college team to win Team of the Year since 1997, and one of our members became just the fourth woman ever to earn the Speaker of the Year award since 1984. Today, we're building on that legacy, striving to make Peaslee's name synonymous with excellence, both in competition and character.

Peaslee has a long tradition of producing thoughtful, influential leaders. Our namesake, Amos J. Peaslee, served as U.S. Ambassador to Australia under President Eisenhower. More recently, alumni like Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser have continued that tradition of public service and impact.

From government and law to academia, journalism, and tech, Peaslee alumni have gone on to shape the world in countless ways. The skills developed in debate — critical thinking, clear communication, and quick analysis — don't just stay in round. They stay with you for life.
